Blog Love

Here’s how I spent my weekend: cooking chicken all by myself for the first time (it was not just edible, it was delicious!), doing angry P90X, writing writing writing, baking a pineapple angel food cake, walking the piglet on sunny afternoons, taking far too much pleasure in prepping my schedule for next week, falling asleep at 9:30 only to find myself completely awake at 1am, dropping of a deposit for my next tattoo (getting my thigh done at the end of May – you’ll have to wait and see what it is), putting together a giant blog/shop/ebook/workshop survey for you all to take tomorrow, and going to a circus/burlesque benefit for a local performer.

On a random note, I’m becoming a spray tan connoisseur. Jergens lotion makes my skin sticky & smells like a fake tan, Neutrogena spray doesn’t smell, dries fast & leaves the best color, but covered my bathroom in a gross film (aka spray it outside). My new fave is Jergens foam – fast to apply, doesn’t smell weird, takes a little longer than the spray to dry, but still pretty fast & comes out even >>>

Did you see Brené Brown on Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday? I literally scrambled upstairs to grab my journal and then began scribbling wildly, my writing getting bigger & bigger and cramping my hand. What started as a epiphanous brain-dump turned into a plan for where I’d like my business & blog to go. And now I’m reading her book Daring Greatly and taking even more notes. So high five to that! >>>

I look forward to your curated lists of posts every weekend! It’s the best reads for a Sunday morning.

Also! Be sure to catch Brené for Part 2 on OWN today! She’s the best.

Daring Greatly is really wonderful! I read it then went right out to grab another one of her books – I thought it was just me. I love that her books give vocabulary to these things I feel like I’ve known to be truths all along! I’d love to read a book-review post once you’ve finished reading it :)

So many goodies here! I always appreciate your finds.

I’m glad to hear your meat-eating ventures are going well! A vegetarian friend of mine also started recently eating meat (well, eggs, which I personally consider a meat) and she is adjusting well.

    Have an awesome week!
