A quick tip for getting shit done

SillyGrrl.com // A quick tip for getting shit done

My mom and dad have been working on fixing up their house since all of us kids have finally moved out. They’ve replaced the deck, repainted rooms, updated window treatments. Once in a while my dad will suggest something, a random little fix, and my mom will remind him “If it’s not on the list you can’t do it!” Which I thought that was a great idea for staying on track.

We’re often pulled in so many directions, being distracted by all the things we want to accomplish, it’s hard to focus on one thing at a time. But if you sit down tonight and make a list of what needs to be done to get to your goal and stick to that rule, I’ll bet you’d get a lot accomplished pretty quickly!

I always write down a list of things to do. And I find myself completely jumping off track, I hate this. But one thing I did grab from your quick tip – is ” if it isn’t on the list, you can’t do it. ” and thats 100% true. So I am going to rock with this idea.

That’s an interesting technique! I work better with a list, but sometimes other things pop up that I need to do. :x

Ya know, I was doing this every day and then a bigger list for every week heading into graduation, but now that I’ve graduated, I’ve become completely overwhelmed by my life. Everything seems to be coming at me from out of left field. This is such a great suggestion.

That’s been my struggle this week too – everything is piling up at once. I try to schedule my entire week and say, ‘these things are getting done and these days and everything else will have to wait.’
