After three days of being sick and exhausted I’m finally feeling better! I’m taking Piglet to my parent’s house for father’s day where I will sit by the pool and enjoy an adult beverage because I’m finally lost my buzz from all the cold meds >_<

Being sick is really the only excuse I ever use to take a full day off. Even if I claim to be having a work-free weekend I generally do something business or blog related. This weekend I used the time to finally clean my office (filed over two years of bills and receipts!) and ordered myself a new desk chair as a reward. I also finished the seventh season of Dexter and played far too much Candy Crush.

And I finally put on my big girl pants and moved all my feeds from Google Reader to The Old Reader. Our beloved GR is disappearing on July 1, so make sure you’re subscribed to SillyGrrl via RSS, Email or Bloglovin.

I’ve read that book twice – at two different career points in my life. The person who actually suggested it to me years ago was my manager at a restaurant – smart guy. It’s a great classic read with some timeless (and surprisingly common-sense advice). Enjoy!

I loved How to Win Friends and Influence People. I recently read it and did a video mentioning it because it has just become one of my new favorite reads. I hope that you enjoy it just as much!

Ah yes, a good book. I also loved his book “How to stop worrying and start living” I think it was called. THAT was absolutely what I needed at the time.

Ah, awesome :D It’s well worth reading! It really helped me through some difficult times.
Have you ever posted a recommended reading list here on this site? I know you occasionally recommend a book, but I always love seeing a list of books my favourite bloggers find interesting.
