I’m a business coach living in San Diego, CA and I’ve been nerding-out on blog content, design, and digital products for over 20 years.
I believe in done over perfect, showing up even when it’s scary, and NOT having to do all the things in order to connect, grow, and earn online.
When it comes to building a business or blog, there always seems to be another must-do strategy. So I’m guessing, dear solopreneur, that you’ve got a lot on your plate. Tasks for your blog, your email list, social media. Tasks you think you should be doing, tasks someone else said you must do. If you look at your to-do list every morning and wonder where the heck to start, I don’t blame you!
After running a successful website design business, selling hundreds of blog templates on Etsy, launching ebooks + courses, and teaching over 7,600 students to grow their blog, social media, and email list, I’ve learned a few things about where people get stuck/stalled/stressed out and how to get them growing again.
My job is to help you simplify the strategies, create a manageable plan, and feel confident enough about what you’re creating to finally see things GROW.
After seven years as a corporate web designer I ran into a problem…every morning (as I hit snooze 15 times) I’d fantasize about staying home from my job and working from my couch on my own projects. I didn’t want to wake up to an alarm, spend my days in a busy newsroom, or design within corporate specs. So in 2012 (after 9 months of serious side-hustling) I made the leap to start freelancing and literally run away with the circus.
The problem was, even though I knew how to build a damn good website, I had NO CLUE how to plan + prioritize things like client communication, blog posts, emails, showing up on social media, invoices and bookkeeping. I was adding in whatever task sounded good in the moment, and jumping from project to project, and while I always felt BUSY, I never felt like I was doing enough.
Once I learned how to properly plan my tasks and simplified everything I needed to get done, I was able to stop feeling like I was stuck on a solopreneur treadmill. And I distinctly remember the day, two years into being self-employed, that I burst into happy + shocked tears upon realizing I was making more as a freelancer than I was at my day job.
- Bachelors degree in Journalism (which makes me a damn good copywriter)
- 20+ years designing + developing corporate and small business websites (earned an Emmy for that!)
- 8 years self-employed
- 100+ web design clients
- 24 digital products (courses, ebooks, workshops, templates)
- 7600+ students using my products to grow!

I’m originally from Michigan and skipped town to swap the snow for palm trees and sunshine.
That circus thing…I trained, performed, and taught aerial arts over over 9 years (I once got to spin on my lyra with Salt ‘n’ Peppa in the middle of an NBA arena).
When I’m not parked on my couch, glued to my laptop you can find me at the beach, digging through record stores looking for punk or classic rock albums, eating my way through San Diego, or chilling on the couch with a book + my pups, Hudson + Hazel.
